Three Yummy Eateries in Canyon Lake Print E-mail

While Canyon Lake is known for its beautiful views, delightful camping grounds, and family-friendly aquatic activities, it also has a number of delicious restaurants.  Here are three of our favorites, nicely primed to provide fresh and flavorful meals to visitors and residents alike!

If you are on the northern shores of Canyon Lake, you have to check out Baja BBQ Shack.  The only restaurant located directly on the lake, Baja BBQ Shack features innovative cuisine ranging from Lakeside Guacamole and loaded Super Nachos to Tex-Mex classics and their South Texas spin on pit BBQ.  With regular performances of live music (check out their Event Calendar for the list of artists and dates) and a full bar overlooking the marina, Baja BBQ Shack is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal, refreshing drink, quality music, and a gorgeous lakeside sunset.  For hours, an online menu, and more details, visit their website.

Located near the banks of the Guadalupe River in nearby Spring Branch, the Reel Seafood House regularly reels in hungry visitors with their hand-crafted meals and friendly service.  The Reel Seafood House, revolving around Southern variations on culinary classics, also features a brand new full bar.  With specialty cocktails like ‘The High Tide’ and ‘Lemonade Noir’, the Reel Seafood House is the perfect place to relax after a long day on the water.  For their hours and location, check their website.

On the Southern side of Canyon Lake sprawls the Lakeside Golf Club.  This full 18-hole course features lush, shaded fairways carved into the rolling terrain of the Texas Hill Country.  With difficult doglegs and occasional water hazards, playing through the course under par is a difficult, tiring feat.  The best place to rest after a day’s round and add up the scorecard is at the course’s 19th Hole Bar and Grill, which features quality American fare like sandwiches, burgers, and even breakfast specials.  To set up a tee time or prepare for a hearty lunch, look at the Lakeside Golf Club’s website.
