Howdy Winter Texans! Considering a visit to the Canyon Lake area? We hope so!
While you are here….. Highlights of our area include the prolific site of dinosaur tracks at the Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country ~ open daily. Enjoy a morning exercise class at the Community Resource and Recreation Center or other nearby fitness facility. The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre prides itself in its theatre performances. Dry Comal Creek Vineyards offers wine tastings among creative events throughout the year. Natural Bridge Caverns and Gruene Hall (Texas’ Oldest Dance Hall) are nearby and unique haunts. Several spas in the area offer pampering! Canyon Lake Golf Club awaits golfers. Rent a boat and hire a fishing guide or just cruise the lake waters enjoying the view. The Canyon Lake Gorge is open for educational tours – sign up online. Several lake parks remain open through the winter months. Take a hike along the river or the lake on free trails. There are some great places to eat and shop, too.

The 2010 Winter Texan Reception is set for Thursday, February 18th from 10:00am – 1:00pm. and held at the Community Resource & Recreation Center (CRRC) below Canyon Dam at 125 Mabel Jones Drive. Enjoy games, food, door prizes plus you are sure to see familiar faces among the new! We sure hope to see you there!
